Gate Rush is a bright crowd runner. You lead a growing group of little runners down a track full of gates, and every gate changes your numbers: some add runners, some multiply them, and the red ones take runners away.
It is easy to pick up for anyone who likes quick, satisfying runs. The fun is in the choices: one smart gate can double your crowd, while a careless swerve into a saw or a red gate can wipe it out just before the final clash.
How to play
- Steer left and right to choose which gates your crowd runs through.
- Green gates help: plus adds runners, times two and times three multiply them.
- Red gates hurt: minus removes runners and divide by two halves the crowd.
- Saws and crushers knock runners off; lose everyone and the run ends.
- At the finish a rival crowd waits, with a boss every fifth level. The bigger crowd wins the clash.
- Sleepy blobs on the track join your crowd if you run into them.
Controls
On a phone or tablet
Drag left and right to steer. In two-player mode player one drags on the left half and player two on the right.
On a computer
Drag with the mouse, or use A and D or the arrow keys. In two-player mode player one uses A and D and player two the arrows.
Game modes
Solo
Level by level, with a boss every fifth level and endless levels after level 10.
Daily
Today's track, the same for everyone.
Vs computer
The same track side by side against an easy, medium or hard rival; most survivors wins.
2 players
Split screen on one device, same track, most survivors wins.
Tips
- Once you have more than 10 runners, a times two gate beats a plus 10.
- Crushers are safe to pass while they are raised.
- A smaller crowd slips past saws more easily, so grow after the hazard if you can.
- Grab sleepy blobs for free runners.
- Survivors join your army and unlock new looks, so finishing big pays off later.
About the game
Gate Rush plays on the popular crowd-runner idea of choosing between maths gates, with simple arithmetic at speed. It adds a rival at the end of every track, boss fights and a split-screen race.
On a phone it is a one-thumb game in portrait. On a desktop the keys give precise steering, and the split screen makes it easy for two people to race at one keyboard.
