Bolt Jam

Play Bolt Jam now · free, no download, no sign-up
Bolt Jam is a screw-sorting puzzle. Wooden planks are bolted to a pegboard in overlapping layers, and you tap screws to take them out. Each screw flies to the paint tin of its colour at the top of the screen. When a plank loses all its screws, it swings and falls away.
The challenge is order. A screw can only come out when no plank above covers it, and a screw with no matching tin has to wait in a small holding tray. Fill that tray and the level is lost. It is a relaxing yet thoughtful puzzle for anyone who enjoys sorting, tidying and planning a few moves ahead.
How to play
- Tap a screw to remove it. A screw covered by a plank on a higher layer cannot be taken out yet.
- Each screw flies to the paint tin of its colour. A tin holds three screws and is shipped away when full.
- If no tin wants a screw, it goes to the holding tray.
- If the holding tray fills up, you lose the level.
- A plank held by a single screw swings; a plank with no screws falls off.
- Drop every plank to clear the level. Faster clears earn more stars.
- The SLOT booster adds a holding slot for the current level, and MAGNET fills the first tin from free screws.

Tips
- Check which tin colours are next before you tap.
- A swinging plank can uncover the screws underneath it.
- Keep the holding tray as empty as you can.
- Clear the top planks first, because they hide the screws below.
- Use MAGNET when the holding tray is almost full.
About the game
Bolt Jam belongs to the newer family of sorting puzzles, where colour matching meets a little physical puzzle. The planks really swing and fall, so each level feels like taking apart a small wooden toy.
On a phone the pegboard fills the portrait screen with large screws that are easy to tap. On a desktop you can see the whole board at once and click precisely.
