Firewall is a tower defense game with a clever enemy. Waves of viruses march across a grid towards your data core, and you stop them by building towers. The towers also act as walls, so every one you place reshapes the maze the viruses must walk through.
What sets it apart is the hive. After each wave it remembers where its viruses took the most damage and steers around those kill zones next time. It also notices which tower type hurt it most and sends viruses that resist it. If you enjoy thinking a step ahead and adapting your plan, this is a defense game that pushes back.
How to play
- Viruses travel towards your data core. Each one that reaches it damages the core, and the game ends when the core's integrity runs out.
- Pick a tower from the bar at the bottom, then tap a free cell to build it with your credits.
- Towers block the path, so use them to shape a long maze, but you can never seal the route completely.
- Blaster hits one target, Pulse hits everything nearby, Cryo slows viruses and Rail pierces through a line.
- Tap a tower to upgrade it, up to three levels, or to sell it for part of its cost.
- Press START to send the next wave early for bonus credits, and use the speed button to play at double speed.

A solo defense that runs until your core falls. Your score and the highest wave you reached are saved as your best.
Tips
- Watch the red threat map. It shows where the hive took damage, which is where it will try not to go next wave.
- Worms are armoured, so Rail towers and upgraded towers work best against them.
- Shielded viruses shrug off Pulse and cannot be slowed by Cryo.
- Swarms overwhelm single-target towers; a Pulse tower thins them out quickly.
- Starting a wave early pays bonus credits when your defense is ready.
- Do not rely on one tower type, or the hive will bring viruses that resist it.
About the game
Firewall builds on the classic tower defense idea of placing turrets along a path, combined with the maze-building style where your towers decide the path. The learning hive gives it a strategy-game feel, because a defense that worked once will not work forever.
On a phone the grid sits above a row of large tower buttons for easy tapping. On a desktop you can see a build preview under the mouse and place towers very quickly.
