Tower Conquest is a fast real-time strategy game about one thing: moving troops between towers. Every tower you own keeps producing soldiers, and you drag a line from your towers to a target to send them. If the troops you send outnumber the garrison inside, the tower changes colour and starts working for you.
It is for players who like quick decisions more than long menus. A battle lasts a few minutes, the rules fit on one card, and yet there is real planning in when to expand, when to defend and when to gather a big strike force. Seeing rival empires shrink as your colour spreads across the map is the reward.
How to play
- Drag from one of your blue towers to another tower to send troops; tapping a tower and then a target works too.
- A tower is captured when the troops that arrive beat the garrison inside.
- Outposts need 20 troops, keeps 50 and fortresses 100; bigger towers produce troops faster.
- Drag through several of your towers in one line to attack with all of them at once.
- Streams of troops that meet head-on cancel each other out.
- The player with the most towers when the time runs out wins; in solo levels you must take every tower in time.
- Rally gives +20 troops to every tower you own once per battle, and Send switches between sending all or half.
Controls
On a phone or tablet
Drag with your finger from your towers to a target, or tap a tower and then the target. Rally and Send are buttons on screen.
On a computer
Drag with the mouse, or click a tower and then a target. Press R for Rally and H to switch between sending all or half.
Game modes
Campaign
A level-by-level map of battles with stars to earn: clear-the-map challenges, duels and four-empire fights. Replay levels for more stars.
Vs computer
A quick duel against the red empire on easy, medium or hard.
Free-for-all
You against three computer empires; the last one standing wins.
2 players
Blue at the bottom, red at the top, both dragging from their own towers at the same time on one screen.
Tips
- Grab the cheap outposts first; every tower you own starts making troops for you.
- Don't empty your home tower while a rival is close.
- Attack a rival tower right after it has sent its troops away.
- Send troops to your own towers to build a big strike force at the front line.
- Fortresses are costly to take but produce troops quickly, so they pay back in long battles.
About the game
Tower Conquest builds on the simple troop-sending strategy games where territory is a set of nodes and every unit counts. There is no fog of war and no building menu: the whole map is visible, and the skill is in timing and numbers. Wins earn coins and stars, and a series score tracks your two-player rivalry.
On phones the map fits portrait screens and multi-touch lets two people play at once. On desktop you get a wider view, mouse dragging and keyboard shortcuts for Rally and Send.
