Hexa Sort
Play Hexa Sort now · free, no download, no sign-up
Hexa Sort is a colour sorting puzzle played on a board of hexagon spaces. You drag stacks of coloured hex tiles from the bottom of the screen onto the board. When a stack lands next to stacks with the same top colour, those tiles slide across and pile up. Ten or more of one colour on top of a stack clear away in a satisfying burst.
Each level sets a number of tiles to clear before the board fills. One clear can reveal a new top colour and set off a chain, which is where the big scores come from. It is a calm puzzle that still rewards planning, ideal for relaxing on a phone or a computer.
How to play
- Drag a stack from the tray at the bottom onto an empty space on the board.
- Neighbouring stacks whose top colour matches slide their tiles onto the stack you placed.
- When ten or more tiles of one colour sit on top of a stack, they clear away.
- A clear can uncover a new colour underneath and start a chain, which scores more.
- Clear the level's target number of tiles to win.
- If the board fills up with no room left, the level is lost.
- HAMMER smashes one stack and SHUFFLE gives you new stacks to place.

A solo run through numbered levels. Targets grow and more colours appear as you go, and each level is rated with up to three stars. Your level and stars are saved.
Tips
- Place stacks next to tops of the same colour so they merge straight away.
- Keep one or two spaces free for emergencies.
- Tall stacks of one colour are close to clearing, so keep feeding them.
- Think about what colour a clear will uncover, since it can start a chain.
- Use HAMMER on a mixed stack that blocks the middle of the board.
About the game
Hexa Sort builds on the popular stack-and-sort puzzle style, where tiles pour from one pile to another until a colour is complete. The hexagon board gives every space six neighbours, so one placement can pull tiles in from several directions at once.
On a phone the board sits above the tray in portrait and you drag with your thumb. On a desktop the board is shown large in a wide window, which makes it easy to see every neighbour.
