Hot Seat Quiz puts you in the contestant's chair of a glowing TV-style studio. You answer fifteen multiple-choice questions, each harder than the last, and lock in every answer while the music builds. The higher you climb the points ladder, the more you have to lose.
It is for anyone who likes general knowledge, from students to quiz-night regulars. The questions are original and cover India and the world: geography, science, sport, films and music, history, food, technology and nature.
How to play
- Answer 15 questions in order; tap an answer, then lock it in.
- Questions 5 and 10 are safe havens: once you pass them, those points are kept even if you miss later.
- A wrong answer drops you back to your last safe haven.
- You can walk away at any time and keep the points you have.
- Four lifelines can each be used once: 50:50, audience poll, ask an expert and swap the question. The clock stops while you use them.
- In duels there are 10 questions: a right answer scores 100 plus up to 100 for speed, and the fastest right answer gets 50 more.
Controls
On a phone or tablet
Tap an answer and then the lock-in button. In two-player mode each player taps answers on their own half of the screen.
On a computer
Click answers, or press 1 to 4. In two-player mode player one uses 1 to 4 and player two uses 7, 8, 9 and 0.

Ten questions against an easy, medium or hard quiz bot; both answer each question and speed counts.

Tips
- Use 50:50 before the audience poll: with two answers left, the audience becomes more certain.
- The expert is confident on easy questions and less reliable near the top of the ladder.
- Swap gives you a fresh question of the same level, which is handy for a topic you know nothing about.
- Walking away is often wise just after a safe haven, when a wrong answer would cost a lot.
- In a duel, a quick right answer can beat a slow one by up to 100 points.
About the game
The game follows the familiar television quiz-show format: a ladder of rising questions, safe levels and a handful of lifelines. The question bank and studio are our own.
On a phone the answers are big buttons, and two players can sit opposite each other with the phone flat between them. On a desktop the number keys make answering fast, and a laptop on a TV makes a good quiz night.
