Mahjong Calm is tile-matching solitaire at an easy pace. Stacks of mahjong tiles are arranged in layered shapes, and you clear them two at a time by tapping matching tiles that are free. A tile is free when nothing lies on top of it and its left or right side is open. Clear every tile and the board is done.
It is a good fit for anyone who wants a quiet puzzle to unwind with, from a coffee break to the end of the day. There is no clock pressure to lose to, soft music plays in the background, and every deal is built so it can be solved, so a stuck board is never the game's fault.
How to play
- Tap two matching tiles to remove them from the board.
- Only free tiles can be picked: bright tiles are free, dim tiles are blocked.
- Any flower tile matches any other flower, and any season matches any season.
- Clear every tile to finish the level and move to the next layout.
- Hint shows a pair, Undo takes a pair back, and Shuffle mixes the remaining tiles into a solvable layout.
- If no moves are left, your first shuffle is free.
Controls
On a phone or tablet
Tap tiles to select and match them. Pinch to zoom on large boards.
On a computer
Click tiles to match them and scroll to zoom. Shortcuts: H for hint, U or Backspace to undo, S to shuffle and Z to zoom.

Tips
- Clear tiles that block long rows first.
- Work the tall stacks down early; they hide the most tiles.
- If all four of a kind are free, take both pairs at once.
- When three of a kind are free, pick the pair that unblocks more tiles.
- There is no rush: every deal can be solved, so think before you tap.
About the game
Mahjong solitaire uses the tiles of the four-player Chinese game, but turns them into a single-player matching puzzle. Mahjong Calm deals each board by removing pairs from the full layout in a legal order, which is why every board can be cleared.
On a phone the tiles are large and you can zoom big layouts. On a desktop the whole board fits on screen and keyboard shortcuts make it quick to play.
