Memory Match: Flip. Remember. Match the pairs!

Play Memory Match now · free, no download, no sign-up

Memory Match is the familiar card-pairs game, made bright and simple for the screen. All the cards start face down. You turn two over; if they show the same symbol they stay up as a pair, and if not they flip back and you try to remember where they were.

It is a gentle game for all ages, good for young children learning to concentrate and for adults who want a short brain workout. You can play alone for stars, take on a computer that really does remember what it has seen, or take turns with a friend on the same screen.

How to play

  1. Tap a card to turn it over, then tap a second card.
  2. If the two symbols match, the pair stays face up and you take another turn.
  3. If they don't match, both cards turn back over and the turn passes.
  4. Each symbol on the board is a different shape and colour combination, so look closely.
  5. In solo play, clear the board in as few turns as you can to earn up to three stars.
  6. Against the computer or a friend, the player with the most pairs at the end wins.

Tips

About the game

This is one of the oldest and most widely played memory games, usually known as pairs or concentration, played with a deck spread face down on a table. Memory Match keeps the rules exactly as you remember them and offers three board sizes: 4×4, 4×6 and 6×6.

On a phone the cards are big and easy to tap, which suits young players. On a desktop the larger 6×6 board is easy to scan, and the mouse makes flipping quick. Bigger boards are harder but pay more coins.
