Prism Blocks

Play Prism Blocks now · free, no download, no sign-up
Prism Blocks is a block-placing puzzle with a glowing, gem-like look. You get three pieces at a time in a tray, and you drag them onto an 8 by 8 board. Whenever a whole row or column is filled, it shatters and frees up space.
There is no timer and nothing falls, so you can think about every placement. The challenge is to keep the board open, because the game ends when none of your remaining pieces fit. Clearing lines on turn after turn builds a combo streak that multiplies your points. It is a great pick for puzzle lovers who like a slow, thoughtful game.
How to play
- Drag a piece from the tray and drop it onto the board.
- Fill a whole row or column to shatter it.
- Clear several lines at once for bigger points.
- Clear lines on consecutive turns to build a combo streak.
- Empty the entire board for an all clear bonus.
- A new tray of three pieces arrives once all three are placed.
- Pieces cannot be rotated, and the game ends when none of them fit.
Controls
On a phone or tablet

Game modes
Endless
A solo game that runs until no piece fits. Trays are dealt fairly, with at least one piece that fits when they arrive, and get tougher as your score grows. Your best score is saved.
Tips
- Keep a 3 by 3 space open for the big square piece.
- Fill edges and corners first and keep the middle flexible.
- Plan all three pieces together, since the order you place them matters.
- A combo streak survives two turns without a clear, so use those turns to set up the next one.
- Aim to clear a row and a column together for a large score.
About the game
Prism Blocks takes the well-known falling-blocks idea of completing lines and turns it into a calm drag-and-drop puzzle, in the style of the popular block grid games. Nothing is rushed, so it is all about planning and space.
On a phone the board and tray fill a portrait screen, so you can play comfortably with one hand. On a desktop the board is shown large and precise mouse dragging makes placement easy.
