Thumb Wars is a set of five-second duels for two people sharing one screen. Each player owns half of it, and every round is a different micro-game: tap the fastest, pull a rope on the beat, wait for green, stop a needle or repeat a colour pattern.
It is made for friends, siblings and anyone waiting for something. Rounds are so short that nobody gets bored, and the mix of speed, rhythm and memory means the fastest tapper does not always win.
How to play
- Tap Race: tap as fast as you can; the first to fill the tube wins.
- Tug of War: tap on the beat when the ring closes for a power pull; perfect pulls in a row get stronger.
- Quick Draw: wait for green, then tap. Tapping early, even on a fake flash, loses the round.
- Stop the Bar: one tap stops your needle; the closest to the gold line wins.
- Memory Flash: watch the colours, then tap them back in order. One mistake loses.
- A match is best of five rounds, and round wins unlock new thumb buddies.

Tips
- In Quick Draw a blue flash is a trick; only green counts.
- In Tug of War, one clean tap per beat beats frantic mashing.
- In Stop the Bar, watch the needle's rhythm for a moment before you tap.
- In Memory Flash, saying the colours out loud helps you remember.
- Lay the phone flat between you so both players reach their half easily.
About the game
Thumb Wars collects the playground reaction contests everyone knows, such as tapping races, quick-draw standoffs and tug of war, into a fast party format. Each duel lasts about five seconds, so a full match fits in a couple of minutes.
On a phone the top half turns to face the second player, so you can sit opposite each other. On a laptop two players share the keyboard.
