Top Rumble

Play Top Rumble now · free, no download, no sign-up
Top Rumble is the school-yard spinning top game as a physics battle. You pull back from your start mark like pulling a string, let go to throw, and your top spins into a chalk ring with its rivals. Tops crash, curl and drain each other's spin, and the last one still spinning wins.
It mixes a satisfying launch with light steering during the fight, so it suits players who enjoy physics toys and short competitive rounds. An endless tour, a daily challenge and a shop of tops and paints give you reasons to come back.
How to play
- Pull back from your start mark to aim; more pull means more speed and more spin.
- Let go to throw; the guide arc shows your path, and too hard sends you out of the ring.
- Drag on your side to nudge your top; each nudge costs a little spin.
- Faster-spinning tops hit harder and drain spin from the tops they strike.
- A top that leaves the ring or stops spinning is out; the last top spinning wins.
Controls
On a phone or tablet
Drag back from your mark and release to throw, then drag on your side to nudge. Two players use their own halves at the same time.
On a computer
Pull back and release with the mouse, and nudge with WASD or the arrow keys. In 2-player games player 1 uses WASD and player 2 the arrows.
Game modes
Solo School Yard Tour
An endless ladder of rivals, including four-way rumbles, with stars to earn at each stage.
Daily
A set line-up of rivals for the day.
Vs computer
Best of three against a CPU top on easy, medium or hard.
2 players
Both players launch and nudge at once on one device.
Tips
- A strong throw gives more spin, but stay inside the guide arc so you do not fly out.
- Nudge sparingly; every nudge drains spin you will need at the end.
- Let rivals collide with each other in four-way rumbles and stay near the centre.
- Hit a slower top hard to drain its spin, but avoid head-on clashes with a faster one.
- Near the edge, nudge back toward the middle before a rival can bump you out.
About the game
Spinning tops are among the oldest toys in the world, and school-yard games where tops knock each other out of a circle are played in many countries. Top Rumble keeps the string-pull throw and the chalk ring, and lets physics decide every collision.
On a phone you drag and release with one finger, and two players can share the screen in portrait. On a desktop the mouse handles the throw and the keyboard handles nudging. Coins buy new tops and paints in the top shop.
