Play Dodgeball Dash now · free, no download, no sign-up
Dodgeball Dash is a playground dodge game with no stinging. Soft dodgeballs, beach balls and foam noodles drop down the wall towards your avatar, and you step aside to stay clear. Each player has three lives and a short blink of safety after every bonk, and the goal is simply to last.
Unlike most wall games, this one follows your feet. At an event a floor-facing LiDAR sensor watches a strip of floor in front of the wall and your avatar copies your steps. On the website, your finger or mouse position stands in for your feet, and keys work too.
How to play
- Move left and right along your lane to steer your avatar.
- Dodge the falling balls and noodles; each bonk costs a life.
- After a bonk you blink for a moment and nothing can hit you.
- Step under power-ups to collect them: +3 seconds, +1 life, a shield or slow motion.
- Your score is the seconds you survive plus bonus seconds.
- Solo lasts until your lives run out; two-lane games run for two minutes and the higher score wins.
Controls
On a phone or tablet
Touch and slide your finger along your lane; the avatar follows it. With two players, the left half is player 1 and the right half player 2.
On a computer
Move the mouse to steer, or use A and D for player 1 and the left and right arrows for player 2.
Game modes
Solo
Survive as long as you can with three lives and grab power-ups for bonus time.
Vs computer
A virtual runner dodges in the other lane at easy, medium or hard; outlast it to win.
2 players
Two lanes on a split wall, one player in each. The higher score wins.
Tips
- Stay near the middle of your lane so you can step either way.
- Beach balls bounce and noodles are wide, so give them more room than a dodgeball.
- Only chase a power-up when the space under it is clear; a +1 life is no use if you take a hit getting there.
- Use the shield or slow motion when the drops get crowded late in the round.
- Your blink after a bonk is a safe window to reposition.
About the game
Dodgeball is a school-yard staple, and Dodgeball Dash turns its best part, the near miss, into a survival game. Instead of hitting targets, you are the target, and the challenge grows as more things fall at once.
For events the game pairs a wall projection with a floor lane tracked by LiDAR, so players move their whole body. On a phone you slide a finger, which makes for quick reactions in landscape, while on a desktop the mouse or keyboard lets two people play side by side on one machine.
