Play Stack Wars now · free, no download, no sign-up
Stack Wars is a tower-building duel made for events. It is projected onto a wall, and players throw soft balls at it; a LiDAR sensor detects each hit. On this website a tap or a click stands in for a ball, so you can play it on any phone or computer.
A stone block slides back and forth above your castle tower, and a hit on your half of the wall drops it. Timing is everything: the better you line it up, the taller and wider your tower grows, while the sky turns from noon to sunset to starry night.
How to play
- Hit anywhere on your half of the wall to drop the sliding block.
- Whatever hangs over the edge is sliced off, so the tower narrows unless you land cleanly.
- A drop in the dead centre is a perfect; three perfects in a row widen the block again.
- A block that misses the tower completely costs a shield. Lose all three and your tower falls.
- Every eighth block is a golden bonus block; perfect it for a free attack.
- In the head-to-head war, perfect streaks launch catapult attacks: turbo speeds up the rival's slider, gust makes it sway, and anvil gives them a narrow iron block.
Controls
On a phone or tablet
Tap your half of the screen to drop the block, just as a ball would hit the wall.
On a computer
Click your half of the screen to drop. At an event, the operator can press Space or Enter to start, Esc to pause and R to return to the title.
Game modes
Solo
Build the tallest tower you can in two minutes, until a block misses completely.
Vs computer
A split wall against a virtual builder at easy, medium or hard; tallest tower at the buzzer or last one standing wins.
2 players
Two players build at once on a split wall and attack each other with catapult shots.
Tips
- Wait until the block lines up over the tower, then throw.
- Chase three perfects in a row to win back width.
- When a gust hits you, wait for the sway to settle before you drop.
- Golden blocks are worth timing carefully: a perfect one gives a free attack.
- A wide base buys you room for mistakes later.
About the game
Stack Wars takes the familiar block-stacking timing game and turns it into a siege between two castles, played with real throws. It is designed for fairs, malls, schools and brand activations where a crowd can watch the towers rise.
On a phone the game fits portrait and you tap to drop. On a desktop or a projector the split wall shows both castles side by side.
