Duck Shoot

Play Duck Shoot now · free, no download, no sign-up
Duck Shoot brings the fairground duck stall to a giant projected wall. Flocks of cartoon ducks sweep across a marsh in lines, waves, V shapes and loops, some popping up out of the reeds, and you knock them down by throwing a soft ball at them. Every duck you hit is a point, and the speedy golden duck is worth five.
It was made for events, brand activations and family days, where a LiDAR sensor watches the wall and reports exactly where each ball lands. On this website you can try the same game with a tap on a phone or a click of the mouse, which is a handy way to learn the flight patterns before you face the real wall.
How to play
- Press play and wait for the 3-2-1 countdown.
- Throw a ball (or tap or click) on a duck to hit it and score one point.
- Watch for the golden duck: it flies fast and is worth five points.
- In Solo you have 90 seconds to hit as many ducks as you can.
- In two-player games each duck scores only for whoever hits it first, so speed matters.
- When the clock shows TIME, the highest score wins and good scores join today's top list.
Controls
On a phone or tablet
Tap a duck where you would throw the ball. In two-player games, player 1 taps the left half and player 2 the right half.
On a computer
Click on the ducks with the mouse. Event operators can press Space or Enter to start, Esc to pause and R to return to the title.
Game modes
Solo
A 90-second round on your own: hit as many ducks as you can and try to make today's top five.
Vs computer
A virtual hunter throws orange balls at the same flock. Choose easy, medium or hard to set how sharp its aim is.
2 players
One wall shared by two throwers: player 1 on the left half, player 2 on the right, racing for the same ducks.
Tips
- Aim slightly ahead of a duck in the direction it is flying, since your ball takes a moment to reach the wall.
- Drop everything for the golden duck: one hit equals five ordinary ducks.
- Formations repeat their shape, so once you spot a loop or a wave you can wait where the ducks will pass.
- Ducks that pop up from the reeds are close to the bottom of the wall and easy to reach with a low throw.
- Against a friend, go for the ducks nearest your half before they drift across.
About the game
The duck stall is one of the oldest fairground games: a row of ducks moves past and you try to knock them down. Duck Shoot keeps that simple goal but swaps the gallery for a projected marsh, adds flight patterns that change through the round, and puts a cheering otter in the reeds to celebrate your best shots.
At an event the game is shown on a wall, and a LiDAR sensor turns each soft-ball impact into a hit, so dozens of people can take turns without any controllers. On a phone or laptop a tap or click stands in for the ball. Phones show the whole wall in landscape, while a desktop window gives you more room to track the faster flocks.
Questions
- Is Duck Shoot free?
- Yes. You can play it free in your browser with no download or sign-up.
- Do I need a LiDAR wall to play?
- No. The game is built for event walls, but on this site a tap or mouse click works in place of a thrown ball.
- Can two people play on one device?
- Yes. In 2-player mode the left half of the screen belongs to player 1 and the right half to player 2.
- Where is the leaderboard kept?
- Today's top scores are saved in your browser on this device and reset each day, the way an event leaderboard would.
