Play Air Hockey Wall now · free, no download, no sign-up
Air Hockey Wall is a neon hockey rink that fills a whole wall, played by throwing instead of pushing a mallet. When your ball lands near the puck, the puck shoots away from the impact point, and the closer you hit, the faster it flies. Drive it into the far goal before your rival sends it back.
It was created for events, where a LiDAR sensor reads each thrown soft ball. On this website a tap or click stands in for the throw, so you can enjoy the physics on a phone or a computer and practise your angles.
How to play
- Player 1 throws at the left half and defends the left goal; player 2 owns the right.
- Tap, click or throw near the puck to push it away from that spot.
- A direct hit sends the puck fastest toward the far goal.
- The first player to five goals wins.
- If it is tied when the two-minute clock runs out, the next goal wins.
Controls
On a phone or tablet
Tap just behind the puck on your half to send it the other way. In 2-player games each player taps on their own half.
On a computer
Click near the puck with the mouse. Operators can use Space or Enter to start, Esc to pause and R for the title.
Game modes
Solo
Score against a goalie that moves on its own; every goal you score is a level up.
Vs computer
A virtual striker attacks and defends the right half, on easy, medium or hard.
2 players
Head to head on one rink, first to five, with a golden goal to settle a tie.
Tips
- Hit on the side of the puck away from the goal you are attacking; it travels away from your impact point.
- A close hit gives more speed, so when the puck is in your half go for a direct strike.
- Bank shots off the side walls can get around a defending goalie.
- When the puck is racing at your goal, a quick hit in front of it is often enough to turn it around.
- In solo, the goalie gets better with each level, so look for the moment it moves away from the middle.
About the game
Air hockey is a classic of arcades and game rooms: a puck gliding on air and two players smashing it back and forth. Air Hockey Wall keeps the same rink and goals but turns your throw into the mallet, so it works for a crowd at an event with nothing to hold except a soft ball.
A LiDAR sensor detects where each ball lands on the projected rink. On the website, a phone in landscape gives you a compact rink to tap, while a desktop window is bigger and lets you place hits more precisely with the mouse.

- Do I need a LiDAR wall?
- No, a tap or a click works in place of a thrown ball.
