Comet Cascade

Play Comet Cascade now · free, no download, no sign-up
Comet Cascade is a bright, relaxing space game about launching comets and watching them bounce. Each comet drops through a triangle of glowing star pegs and lands in one of the orbit pods at the bottom, and each pod multiplies the stardust you spent on that launch. The rare pods at the edges multiply the most.
Stardust is only a free score. There is no real money in the game, nothing to buy with it and no prizes of any kind; it simply measures how well your run is going. That makes it a calm pastime for anyone who likes cause-and-effect toys, plus a light strategy duel when you play against the computer or a friend.
How to play
- Launch a comet by tapping the board, pressing LAUNCH or pressing Space. Each launch costs the amount of stardust you set as fuel.
- The comet bounces down through the star pegs and lands in an orbit pod, which multiplies its fuel and adds the result to your stardust.
- Choose Calm for steady results, Nebula for wider swings, or Supernova to push everything towards the edges.
- Pick between 8 and 16 rows of pegs; more rows mean more bounces and bigger edge pods.
- In solo play, use AUTO to launch from 10 to 100 comets in a row.
- Keep launching to climb the ranks; every new rank drops a stardust bonus.

Game modes
Solo
The open-ended game: launch comets, manage your stardust and climb the ranks.
Vs computer
Both sides start with 1,000 stardust and fly 10 comets each against a computer pilot on easy, normal or hard. Most stardust wins.
2 players
The same 10-comet duel with a friend, passing one device between turns.
Tips
- Edge pods are rare but multiply the most; the middle pods are where most comets land.
- If you are ahead in a duel, play calm with small fuel to protect your lead.
- If you are behind, switch to Supernova or more rows to reach for the edges.
- Keep some stardust back for your last comet; it often decides a duel.
- In solo play, use small fuel amounts so a run of unlucky bounces does not empty your stardust.
About the game
The game builds on the old pegboard drop, where a disc falls through rows of pins and lands in a slot, and recasts it as comets falling through a starfield. In duels the fun is in choosing how much risk to take each turn, depending on the score.
On a phone the board fills the portrait screen and one tap sends a comet. On a desktop you can click or use the Space bar, and watch the bounces on a larger board.
