Paddle Duel

Play Paddle Duel now · free, no download, no sign-up
Paddle Duel is the original two-paddle video game duel in glowing neon. You slide your paddle to meet the ball and send it back across the screen. Where the ball strikes your paddle sets its angle, and moving the paddle as you hit adds spin that makes the ball curve in flight.
Every return makes the ball a little faster, so long rallies get tense quickly. First to seven points wins. It is easy for anyone to pick up, but the angles and spin give practised players plenty to master.
How to play
- Move your paddle to block the ball and send it back.
- Hit near the edge of the paddle for a sharp angle, or near the middle for a straight return.
- Move the paddle while hitting to add spin and curve the ball.
- Each return speeds the ball up for the rest of the rally.
- Miss the ball and your opponent scores; first to seven wins.
Controls
On a phone or tablet
Drag anywhere on your side of the screen to slide your paddle. Two players each drag on their own half.
On a computer
Move the mouse, or use W and S or the arrow keys.
Game modes
Solo wall rally
Keep the ball going against a wall for as long as you can.
Vs computer
A CPU paddle on easy, medium or hard that predicts bounces with fewer mistakes as the level rises.
2 players
Two players on one screen, side by side in Classic or facing each other in Table mode with player 2's side turned around.
Tips
- Edge hits create steep angles that bounce off the walls and are hard to reach.
- Add spin when the ball is fast; the curve makes it harder for the computer to predict.
- Return to the middle after every hit so you can cover both directions.
- On hard, vary between straight and angled returns rather than repeating one shot.
- Long rallies speed the ball up, so a safe return can force the opponent into a mistake.
About the game
The two-paddle tennis game was one of the very first video games, and its simple back-and-forth still works. Paddle Duel adds what the early machines could not: neon glow, spin that curves the ball, and a rally speed-up that turns every point into a test of nerve.
On a phone, you drag with a finger and two players can share the screen face to face. On a desktop, the mouse gives smooth control and keys let two people play together. Coins from matches unlock new paddle and ball skins.
