Spiral Drop is a one-finger arcade game about falling. A ball bounces on top of a tall tower of rings, each with a gap. You spin the tower so the gap lines up under the ball, and down it goes, ring after ring.
It is perfect for short sessions on a phone and easy to understand at a glance. The tension comes from the red segments: land on one and the run is over, so you are always deciding whether to spin early or wait for the safe moment.
How to play
- Spin the tower left or right; the ball keeps bouncing and drops through any gap below it.
- Red segments break the ball and end the run, so spin them away before you land.
- Gold segments give bonus points and keep your chain going.
- Fall through three rings without landing and the ball becomes a fireball that smashes the next platform, even a red one.
- Some rings move on their own, so watch them before you commit.
- In solo a new level starts every 12 rings, and each level multiplies the points per ring.
Controls
On a phone or tablet
Drag left or right to spin the tower. In two-player mode each player drags on their own tower.
On a computer
Drag with the mouse, or use A and D or the arrow keys. With two players, player one uses A and D and player two the arrows or J and L.
Game modes
Solo
An endless tower: how deep can you go?
Daily
One tower for everyone today.
Vs computer
Two towers with the same rings against an easy, medium or hard spinner. First to the bottom wins.
2 players
Two towers side by side on one screen. Clearing red-heavy rings sends a junk segment to your rival.
Tips
- Spin early so the gap is ready while the ball is still in the air.
- When no gap is close, aim for gold to keep your chain alive.
- Use a fireball to escape a ring that is mostly red.
- Watch moving rings for a moment to learn their rhythm.
- In a race, a smash or a red-heavy clear also sends trouble to your opponent.
About the game
Spiral Drop builds on the helix tower genre of phone games, where you rotate a column instead of moving the ball. The race mode with two towers and junk segments adds a head-to-head twist.
On a phone it is a portrait, one-thumb game. On a desktop the keys allow smooth turning, and two people can share one keyboard for a race.
